Live in Wander

Warning: This is not your typical, fancy, food and travel blog.

This is simply an ambitious food and travel blog. Ambitious – not in the sense that we are aiming to have a large number of visitors. If that ever happens, then it would just be a bonus from the ultimate goal we’re trying to achieve. That ultimate goal would be – “to live in wander” or in simpler terms to spend most of our lives travelling and discovering the wonders of the world firsthand.

Let me tell you why that’s a bit of a reach. We are a group of people hailing from the Queen City of the South – Cebu City, Philippines. If you haven’t heard of it yet, we are in a semi-urbanized city in a third world country (sad to say). Majority of us are working in a graveyard-shift job that pays decently, but not so high. Our life savings for the meantime is just enough to get us by for a month before we succumb to a dead-end job in case our industry crashes all of a sudden. At the time of writing, almost all of us are yet to apply for a passport and are yet to exit the Philippine area of responsibility.

We also do not have any high-end camera. Hence, the photos that you’re going to see in our next few blogs would be coming from smartphone lenses. So you see, the odds are slightly stacked against us. Our goal of going ala-Julius Caesar all over the world is nothing but a mere far-fetched dream as of the moment. Though these are exactly the reasons this blog is exciting for us. We are swimming against our own lives’ current. But I know what you’re thinking, are we even capable of running a food and travel blog?

We wouldn’t have started this if our answer is ‘No’. We plan to start small. Baby steps. One city at a time. After all, the city we live in is already a wonder in itself. We’ll be all over Cebu City and explore the beauty it boasts while munching a meal here and there. We’ll visit the neighboring islands too. Fortunately, this third world country is an archipelago. So, there is no shortage of awe-inspiring views, jaw-dropping views and mouth-watering dishes. So there, that’s exactly what you should expect if you plan on visiting our blog again or if you’re one of our social media friends who is probably annoyed by the constant plugs by now and decided to give the site a peek. If you’re someone from a different part of the globe, then we hope to invade your country. I mean, just bump into you real soon.

So to speak, this is not just a food and travel blog, but also an inspirational blog or a motivational blog. If in the long run we manage to reach the different areas of the world, then that would mean that nothing is impossible. That hard-work really does pay off. If we somehow do make it, then anyone of you can do it too. If we do, then we’ll definitely help you and share to you how we did it..

With that being said, I hope you enjoy our little adventures too. I’m certain if it ends up here, we already did. If you’re someone who is planning to travel or just wanting to discover the hidden parts of their own vicinity, then go for it. Life is too short to eat all the good food and go to all the good places. However, we have to at least try. It’s best to not just live in wonder, but chew and wander!

  1. Cebu is the first place I explored solo! I also don’t have a high-end camera so I use my phone but was able to publish travel photo essays out of it. Kaya niyo yan! Keep blogging ☀️

    1. Gee, thanks a lot. I just checked your blog and it was fascinating. So, this really means a lot coming from you. I’ll give yours a better read real soon, I’m sure I’ll learn more than a thing or two. Maraming salamat! 🙂
